The Men's Shed is a workshop where skilled and unskilled men can share time with each other, swap yarns and work together.
The Men's Shed is aimed mainly at retired men, but all men are welcome, so if you would like to go and share your skills with other men or learn new skills, or just go for a cup of coffee and a chat , then please go along every Wednesday.
This year has been a very interesting and productive year for the Men's Shed. they now have a regular membership of between 10 and 12 men that come along each week. They have had visits from other men's shed groups in the area, and just before Christmas they made small wooden Christmas trees for the residents at Edgarley to decorate.
The men will be starting back on the 13th January so if you would like to go along and see what is happening you will be made very welcome. The men will also be looking for small projects to do during the year to make money to buy more tools and equipment, so if anyone in the Community has something that they think might be suitable then please call into the Casterton Community centre or phone 55812139 for details.
On Wednesday 11th March the Men's Shed of Casterton had a visit from members of Simpson Men's Shed to see what we do.After the tour we had lunch together, followed by a lively discussion between members of both sides.Great friendships were struck up,and a return visit by Casterton will be organised for later in the year.
