We did it again - the record for the Highest Priced Dog was broken not once but twice - Tom a Red Male Kelpie was sold by Matthew Johnson for $12,000 to Paul Weeding in Tasmania.

Tom was also the winner of the RMA Working Dog Trial and the second placing in the trial went to 'Lessi Charlie' owned by Ian O'Connell who later sold him at the Working Dog Auction for $10,750 to Carters Transport, Victoria.

The RMA Working Dog Trial was a great success and well supported.

What a great day we had at the Festival. Kelpies galore! A feast of entertainment, starting with the RMA Yard Dog Vendor Trial, followed by The Poets Breakfast which was absolutely enthralling. The Kelpie Triathlon attracted a record of entries, and the High Jump record was nearly broken, and the speed of the Kelpies in the Kelpie Dash was very close. Stockman's Challenge was definitely that...... the calibre of all the contestants in the events was outstanding. We had record crowds.
